봄이 오는 것이 피부로 느껴지는데, 이번 주에 시작된 새 학기도 즐거운 마음으로 지내시길 기원합니다.
다름이 아니라, 고등과학원 이신명 박사님과 함께 다음주부터 시작하는 CART 세미나 홍보를 위해 메일 드립니다. CART (Combinatorics And Representation Theory) 세미나는 표현론과 조합론의 교집합에 있는 연구 발표를 위주로 구성할 예정입니다. 발표는 온라인을 위주로 할 계획이지만 가능한 경우에는 고등과학원에서 오프라인으로도 진행하려고 합니다.

첫 발표는 3월 15일 National University of Singapore의 Huanchen Bao교수님이 해주실 예정입니다. 제목 및 초록을 포함한 자세한 발표 관련 정보는 메일 밑에 붙입니다.

Hello. I'm Jaeseong Oh from the HCMC KIAS.
I hope you spend the new semester with joy.
I am writing this email to promote the CART seminar starting next week, run by Sin-Myung Lee at KIAS and myself. The CART (Combinatorics And Representation Theory) seminar will mainly focus on research works at the intersection of representation theory and combinatorics. The presentations are planned to be primarily online, but if possible, we also plan to conduct them offline at KIAS.

Title: Acyclic matchings on Bruhat intervals
Abstract: Discrete Morse theory, developed by Forman, is an efficient tool to determine the homotopy type of a regular CW complex. The theory has been reformulated by Chari in purely combinatorial terms of acyclic matchings on the face poset. In this talk, I will discuss explicit constructions of such acyclic matchings on Bruhat intervals using reflection orders. As an application, we show the totally nonnegative Springer fibres are contractible, verifying a conjecture of Lusztig. This is based on joint work with Xuhua He.
