Title: Dimensions of irreducible modules of symmetric groups and the LLT algorithm

Abstract
This talk is based on the paper "Hecke Algebras at Roots of Unity and Crystal Bases of Quantum Affine Algebras" by Lascoux, Leclerc, and Thibon. We begin by discussing the dimensions of irreducible modules of symmetric groups, then introduce the LLT algorithm. Finally, we see how the LLT algorithm can be used to compute the dimensions of irreducible modules.
